Hello again to all my fellow knowledge seekers! It’s Robert, back to share more about the enriching path I’ve been trekking on LinkedIn Learning. Since my last update, I’ve added another significant course to my list, which has been as enlightening as it has been imperative to my understanding of modern cybersecurity challenges.
Five Biggest Mistakes of Cybersecurity Programs – This course, led by Matthew Rosenquist in November 2022, was a profound look into the pitfalls that even seasoned cybersecurity programs can encounter. It’s one thing to set up defenses, but to critically evaluate and avoid common oversights is what sets apart a good cybersecurity strategy from a great one.
This addition has opened my eyes to the intricacies of cybersecurity program management and the importance of strategic foresight. It has been particularly enjoyable because it resonated with the practical aspects of my professional experiences and served as a reflective tool to reassess and improve my approaches.
While I was taking the included quizzes in the course, I found a few questions that really struck out to me, based on my previous experiences…let’s just say I’m not the only one who could use a refresher on principles. But alas, you are not here to revel in my woes. This is a space for positivity and growth! Reignite with vigor!

As I continue to delve into these courses, I am reminded of the value of refreshing and revitalizing knowledge, especially in a field as dynamic as cybersecurity. It’s a reminder that what we learn is not just for personal advancement but for the greater goal of securing the digital infrastructure that our society relies upon.
I look forward to integrating the insights from Matthew Rosenquist’s course into my work and sharing with you all the tangible benefits that such knowledge brings. Each course is not just a checkmark on a list of achievements but a stepping stone towards greater expertise and understanding.
For those of you who’ve been contemplating brushing up on your skills or diving into new knowledge domains, let my journey serve as encouragement. There’s no time like the present to invest in yourself and the future of technology.
Keep an eye out for more updates as I navigate through more courses and continue to transform these learnings into actionable insights.
Keep on learning, and let’s make the digital world a safer place together!
Warm regards,
Robert R. Herbaugh
