As we navigate through the digital age, it’s essential to continually validate and benchmark our cybersecurity skills against the industry standards. Awhile back, I completed the LinkedIn’s Cybersecurity Skills Assessment, and I am thrilled to share that I’ve placed in the top 15% of the 1.5 million people who took this challenge.

This assessment is not just a test; it’s a comprehensive evaluation of expertise in the cybersecurity domain. To be ranked in the top 15% is a testament to the dedication and hard work I’ve put into staying abreast of the latest trends, understanding the evolving threat landscape, and refining my skill set.

However, with a hint of melancholy, I must also acknowledge that LinkedIn plans to discontinue these assessments come 2024. While this news is saddening, it also reinforces the value of the achievement and the importance of seizing opportunities to showcase our competencies.

I wanted to take this moment to memorialize this accomplishment not just as a personal milestone, but as an encouragement to my peers and readers. It stands as a reminder that our journey in cybersecurity is ever-evolving, and recognitions like these are important markers of our professional growth.

This badge of honor represents more than just a score. It symbolizes my commitment to excellence in an industry where the only constant is change. As we prepare to say goodbye to these assessments, I’m motivated to continue pursuing knowledge and excellence with the same vigor and to find new ways to challenge myself.

So, while I may be a little saddened by the end of LinkedIn’s Skill Assessments, I am also invigorated to push forward, embrace new learning avenues, and continue to make a difference in the cybersecurity field.
